2021.11.28 23:51 JokingAround10802 The Voi D. Century - The Truth of the letter 'D'

Hear me out. We're 1033 chapters into the manga and a question hit me all of a sudden. Why don't we know anything about the meaning of the letter 'D'? I decided to go down a little rabbit hole of thinking and I might have come up with a solution.
THE MEANING OF 'D' What we know is that those with the letter 'D' in their names are considered the Natural Enemy of the Gods. Another point that we know is that Oda does not shy away from using Religious Symbolism throughout the manga and anime, e.g: Dracule Mihawk's sword and chain, the Treasure Tree Adam, Sunlight Tree Eve, Bartholomew Kuma's Bible, Sengoku's Hito Hito no Mi which lets him turn into a literal Buddha, etc. Well this is where things get a little interesting. If those with the letter 'D' are considered the natural enemies of the Gods, wouldn't the natural meaning of 'D' be 'Devil'? Now where does this go?
Gathering all the pieces of the puzzle Let us consider who are considered 'Gods' in the One Piece universe. God, itself, has not been confirmed yet in the manga, however we have something which comes in as a close second. We have self-proclaimed Gods, such as Enel, and we also have the World Nobles/Celestial Dragons. We won't be dwelling too much on Thunder Mathers this time, however we will be focusing heavily on the latter of the two, the Celestial Dragons.
The Celestial Dragons claim to be of direct lineage to the 'world's creators' which thus justifies any evil actions that they do commit. Rob Lucci even further Justifies their actions by stating 'The Celestial Dragons are the Gods who created this world. To put it simply, the ones living here are the kings of the lower world. So it's only natural for a God like him to get everything he wants.' So we can safely assume that Celestial Dragons existed Pre-Void Century.
Information that we also know is that The Holy Land Mariejois sits atop the Red Line, separating the Grand Line's Paradise half from the Grand Line's New World half. Now, how do pirates get across the Red Line without going through this Holy Land? Well they have to pass through Fishman Island, which has been confirmed to sit directly below Mariejois. Fishman Island sits 10000 metres below sea level and so, there should be no logical way to get sunlight there, right? Wrong. We also know that Fishman Island gets its sunlight from Sunlight Tree Eve. Now that we have all the information set, let's piece together what it is that I was thinking.
Putting the pieces together I believe, and I'm sure that I'm not the first to think this, that Sunlight Tree Eve might actually be the National Treasure, the Holy Artefact, that could 'shake the world' as Doffy puts it. Now what I believe is that the Eve Tree is not only a source of light for Fishman Island, but might also be the very first place that Devil Fruits had grown. I think that originally, the only people who were allowed to eat this 'Devil Fruit' were the self-proclaimed 'Gods', the Celestial Dragons. Now why are they called Devil Fruits and not God Fruits? I think that originally, they were God Fruits, but because of how many pirates, marines, revolutionary army members, etc, all have these fruit powers, in the minds of the Celestial Dragons, these fruits became tainted.
How did the 'lesser beings' in the eyes of the Celestial Dragons get their hands on the Fruits in the first place? I think that during the Void Century, or at least the start of it, our hidden figure, Joyboy, snuck onto Mariejois and actually stole all the fruit that existed on the tree. I believe that he stole the fruits and escaped Mariejois and spread the fruit around the world for the common people to actually gain the powers that the 'Gods' had. He was the very first Enemy of the Gods. So why does this matter?
I think that the reason this was such a big problem is because now that Joyboy has stolen these fruits, it does not grow on the Eve Tree anymore. Why not? Well I have a suspicion that the devil fruit's 'Soul' is trying to travel back to the Eve Tree to be in its natural environment. I think the souls have been trying this for centuries but it cannot go directly to the Eve tree, rather it has to travel from fruit to fruit, eg: Gura Gura no Mi is a pear, so it can only take the form of pears. The way that these souls travel are similar to how pirates have to travel along the Grand Line, by taking a path which slowly takes them to the final destination. These souls cannot go directly back to the Eve Tree, rather have to travel to the next closest fruit which is in the direction of Mariejois.
The problem with this, is the fact that every time someone eats this devil fruit, they go on their own journey, which takes the fruit further and further away from Mariejois, or closer, depending on their adventure. This is a problem because that means that the fruit has to wait till the death of the eater to travel again, ultimately taking an incredibly long time to return back to its original growth place. Originally, the Celestial Dragons that did have devil fruit powers, were searching for Joyboy so that they could arrest him or get back the devil fruits. This took them away from the Eve Tree and thus, they died far away causing the fruit to travel from fruit to fruit trying to get back to Mariejois. So far, there have been no Celestial Dragons that have been confirmed with a Devil Fruit power in the current era. Now you might be thinking, how about Doffy? Well, his family left the Celestial Dragons when he was 8 years old, so now he isn't considered one. At the age of 10, he gained his Devil Fruit from Trebol. So far, not a single Celestial Dragon has a Devil fruit. They have been wanting it back this entire time. This is where Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Mi comes in.
We are told at the very start of the story that Luffy's Devil Fruit was stolen from the World Government by Shanks. I think that this was the first devil fruit that the Marines had actually gotten their hands on completely by luck as whoever had the fruit before had died, and so, the soul of the fruit travelled to the next fruit closest to it on the way to Mariejois. Remember, the World Government works under the Celestial Dragons due to their higher status. The ship that was transporting the Gomu Gomu no Mi was actually taking it back to the Eve Tree, but was obviously stolen and the powers inherited by rubber boy, Monkey D. Luffy.
Will of 'D' Now why doesn't everyone with a devil fruit have the letter 'D' in their name? Those with the letter 'D' are actually specific people who are linked to take down the World Government. Even Marshall D. Teach will end up playing a huge role in the taking down of the World Government AND the Celestial Dragons, and thus they are 'Devils', the ones who are the Natural Enemies of the Gods. How does Portgas D. Rouge, or Jaguar D. Saul fit into this? They were destined to change the path of individuals that would ultimately help bring down the WG. Rouge was the mother of Ace and kept him a secret for 20 months before birthing him. Ace ultimately was the catalyst for Luffy to get stronger. Saul was someone who ended up protecting Robin, the only known person in the world to be able to read the poneglyphs which will lead to Raftel. Rocks D. Xebec was an individual who had members of the Yonkou in his crew which Luffy would have to defeat or team up with to ultimately become the pirate king and bring down the WG.
Ultimately, this all relates back to the religious symbolism that Oda shows in his grand tale. In the bible, Eve is tempted by the devil to eat the apple in the Garden of Eden. She ultimately eats it, and gains knowledge of what was right and wrong. In One Piece, The Eve tree grows the fruit, which holds powers, synonymous to how the fruit in the bible holds knowledge. Joyboy acts as Eve and is the one to break this forbidden rule, and steals the fruits from the Gods, gaining the power stored away inside. The Adam Tree plays a part in this as it is the tree which is carrying and has carried Gol D. Roger and Luffy. We are told in the bible that Eve was made from the rib of Adam. I think that originally, the Adam Tree was the original Devil Fruit growth tree, the World Government found it, stole a part of it and tried to destroy it. They didn't know that it could withstand so many attacks, left early after thinking they blew it up, and are currently unaware of it's existence. The tree itself did not produce many fruits so the WG stole the branches with the fruits on it and took it back to Mariejois and ultimately renamed it to the Eve Tree.
CONCLUSION Thus, with the theory stating what 'D' is and its origins, we have gained a greater insight into what the Void Century might be hiding. This might be the most information we have on the Void Century so far, but obviously this isn't canon until our god, Eiichiro Oda, decides to drop lore on us in the manga, so please take this theory with a grain of salt.
I hope you enjoyed this. It was something that I had thought of this morning and immediately started writing up as it truly did intrigue me.
TLDR TLDR; 'D' might mean 'Devil', The National Treasure might be Sunlight Tree Eve, Joyboy stole the original Devil Fruits, Holders of the name 'D' are destined to ultimately lead to the downfall of the World Government and the Celestial Dragons.

It says on the bottle not to apply it in cold weather, and I'm wondering that means just applying it or if I should just not use it at all. My windshield already has a crack in it I don't wanna make it worse before I can get a new car lol

2021.11.28 23:51 Astrixzzz How true is the narrative that Drake’s songs are all ghostwritten ?

I hear the whole argument that Drakes songs are all ghostwritten getting thrown around all the time but I’m not sure how true that narrative really is because from as far as I know that narrative only comes from the Meek Mill Drake beef where Meek Mill exposed the fact that Quentin Miller had ghostwritten a decent amount of the lyrics on Drake’s album IYARTITL.But that’s the only instance it seems where Drake has had a “ghostwriter” and even then I heard too that he joined the project late when it was almost done.

2021.11.28 23:51 Undivided_Cupcake Just advice

I created a cash app, and I own a normal bank account. I use Cash app to exchange money between boyfriend and I. Moving forward, I realize when I have my bank card I spend stuff Willy Nilly. I was thinking of using my bank card as an actual savings (I do have checking and savings, but doesn’t help) and getting a cash app card to pay for the few bills I own monthly and put a monthly or biweekly shopping limit on it wether it be for self care days, etc.
Is there any pros and cons to this? Is this a good idea?

2021.11.28 23:51 XEdwardElricX Shaddoll/Dogmatika Combo in Altergeist Deck

Hey everyone, first time posting. I just got back from locals and I'm trying to build my first comp. deck for locals. Someone noticed my dogmatika engine and mentioned I should grab Shaddoll Construct/Schism/Winda and I would be able to do a turn 1 combo with everything. They said I could find the combo online, but so far no luck. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction?
The deck is meant to be an Altergeist deck but was told that this engine can fit into it pretty smoothly.

2021.11.28 23:51 sexy-Homoerectus Whats a good dose of hbwr seeds for someone with a lot of experience with psychedelics

I’ve done a lot of psychs and I’ve even tried morning glory seeds and I’m getting 100 hbwr seeds soon. I’m looking for a very strong trip as my last lsa trip (while really nice) wasn’t as strong as I’d like, I did 500 MGs and got a decently strong trip. I’m thinking about putting the seeds in capsules this time so it’s easier to get them down as it took me nearly 2 hours to eat the seeds.

2021.11.28 23:51 Moogy Should I just throw away this LG 75UM6970PUB?

I posted roughly a month ago a picture of the defect with this TV, which was sent to me as a "new replacement TV" (which I think was a lie because it wasn't in original packaging) by a mover that destroyed my original TV. I was told this line is caused by a panel bonding defect and cannot be repaired (at least not cost effectively). Is this accurate, and if so, is tossing the TV the only action to take? Also, what causes this issue? I'm thinking the TV had the defect before it was shipped to me, but don't know enough about this type of defect to know what the cause could be...

2021.11.28 23:51 raindancethunder Clam vs Tenacity for on-field Kokomi

Coming up is a very crude comparison. Feel free to correct any mistakes or inaccuracies.
Consider a Maguu Kenki that has 1.5M HP, and a Clam set that does 300k in 90 seconds (from a low estimate of 75k over a 20 second rotation). In this setup, Tenacity would have to buff the team's total damage by 1500000 / 1200000 = 1.25 or 25% to make up for the 300k loss from replacing Clam.
Even with a setup that can kill it in 45 seconds, Clam would still do 150k damage. In this case, Tenacity needs to buff my total damage by 1500000 / 1350000 = 1.11 or 11%, which is still quite unrealistic. Tenacity increases my Fischl's attack by 8.3% and my Xingqiu's by 7.7%. Including Kokomi's own damage (which scales poorly with attack) and other sources like Electro-charged, Tenacity probably buffs my total damage by 5% or less.
Conversely, assuming Tenacity increases my total damage by 5%, I'd need to be able to kill an enemy with 6.3M HP in 90s or less for Tenacity to overtake Clam. That would need 70k total DPS, I ain't reaching that anytime soon.
How about a Ruin Guard which takes a third of the physical damage compared to normal enemies? Let's say we are fighting 2 Ruin Guards in 2 waves over 90 seconds with a combined HP of 1.5M, and using the same Clam set which would deal 100k damage over that duration. In this case, Tenacity needs to buff by 1500000 / 1400000 = 1.0714 or 7.14% to compete with Clam. I'd say that's worth considering if you have enough DPS.
I'd need more math to determine how much Tenacity actually increases my damage for a better comparison, but keep in mind that these are conservative estimates for Clam.
TL;DR
